Five-star forward Keion Brooks in 'constant contact' with MSU as he prepares to name finalists

GRAND RAPIDS -- Keion Brooks sat on the bench in street clothes here at MSA Woodland Fieldhouse on Friday morning, a case of tendonitis preventing him from taking the floor as his teammates played in the Brawl for the Ball tournament.

But the fact that Brooks stayed on the bench didn't stop Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, who watched the action from a few feet behind the baseline, from providing feedback on Brooks' performance.

"Coach Izzo just texted me after the game and said for me to be a coach, I've got to be a little more animated on the sidelines," Brooks said.
