Jayru Campbell's big weekend started with a celebration on Friday.
The Ferris State quarterback was named the Harlon Hill Trophy winner, given annually to the top Division II football player in the nation, on Friday afternoon.
Next, Campbell and the Bulldogs (15-0) will face Valdosta State in the Division II title game in McKinney, Texas, on Saturday (4 p.m., ESPNU).
Campbell received 47 of 113 first-place votes (41.6 percent) to win the award, which is voted on by the nation's Division II sports information directors. Campbell was named on 73.5 percent of the ballots.
