Brian Vieaux, one of my Facebook friends, sent me a fascinating text late Monday afternoon from a baseball park.
He included three pictures of Casey Mize, who was warming up in the bullpen before he made his debut — and threw a no-hitter — for the Erie SeaWolves, the Detroit Tigers' Double-A affiliate.
Vieaux finished it off with one word: “Phenom.”
Then, he sent me three pictures of his son, Cam, a left-handed pitcher from Walled Lake Western who pitched at Michigan State and was starting the game for the opposing Altoona Curve.
