Detroit — Authorities say former Michigan State basketball player Keith Appling has been arrested again on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
Detroit Police Sgt. Michael Woody said Appling was arrested early Saturday after officers stopped a fast-driving Dodge Charger. Woody says officers saw Appling, a passenger, place a weapon under a seat.
The arrest comes days before Appling faces a hearing on weapons and drug charges from a May arrest outside The Pantheion strip club in Dearborn. The Friday hearing determines whether he goes to trial.
In the May incident, club security officers allegedly observed a man pulling a gun out of the trunk of a car in the parking lot.
