BATH – Former Michigan State linebacker Darien Harris is patiently waiting for a call from the CFL's Ottawa Redblacks to return to work.
Ottawa signed Harris in January, but he suffered a hamstring injury in training camp that forced him to miss both of the Redblacks' preseason games.
Harris returned to East Lansing to rehabilitate his injury with a training staff he grew to know during his MSU career.
"I got into a lucky enough situation that I think I showed them enough (in camp) that they wanted to bring me back," Harris told the Free Press during Drew Stanton's celebrity golf tournament earlier this month.
