Interim Michigan State University President John Engler says he's "very sorry" for questioning the motives of victims of Larry Nassar, assertions that Engler made in an email to a university attorney that became public last week.
"I was wrong. I apologize," Engler's statement said. "When I started this interim position in February, it was never my intent to have an adversarial relationship with some of the survivors."
Engler has been under fire for a week over an email became public in which he accused Rachael Denhollander, the first Nassar victim to go public, of taking a "kickback" from plaintiff attorney John Manly.
