East Lansing — The legs were gone for Michigan State on Wednesday night against Louisville, but thankfully for the Spartans, they have the early favorite for national player of the year on their roster.
It's becoming almost ordinary, but Denzel Valentine had another big game, scoring 25 points and handing out seven assists as No. 3 Michigan State rallied to beat No. 24 Louisville, 71-67, at the Breslin Center as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Valentine was joined by Bryn Forbes, who scored 20, including 14 in the second half on 5-for-9 shooting from 3-point range as the Spartans (8-0) overcame 16 turnovers and a 13-point first-half deficit.
