For the 16th time since mid-November, a Spartan has hit the transfer portal.
Special team player and defensive back Dominique Long entered his name in the portal looking for a new program to wrap up his career at. The senior started one game last season, also having an impact against Michigan with four tackles. His season-high on the year was six tackles against Indiana.
This marks the fourth defensive back to take a dive into the portal, joining Julian Barnett, Davion Williams and Chris Jackson.
Not only will another program be getting a solid special teams player, but they’ll also be getting a bright student as he’s earned three straight Big Ten All-Academic honors.
