EAST LANSING — Much of the buzz with Michigan State football’s incoming freshman class has revolved around Devontae Dobbs since the former Belleville High star committed to Mark Dantonio in June 2018.
Rightfully so. The Spartans rarely land high-profile offensive line prospects. And Dobbs, who wound up a 4-star prospect, might be the most physically gifted big man of Dantonio’s 13 recruiting classes.
But Dobbs, who did not arrive until this summer, has company – and competition for immediate playing time.
