Following a long and sometimes complicated recruiting process, Detroit Cass Tech senior Kalon Gervin was eager to "get it over with."
With suspense building for weeks, the four-star defensive back announced his college football decision Saturday night on his Twitter account, pledging his commitment to Michigan State.
For the past few months, after rescinding his verbal commitment to Notre Dame, Gervin had been hesitant to narrow his list of finalists, saying he wanted to keep all his options open.
On Friday, he finally cut the field down to MSU and Oregon, eliminating Nebraska, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, among other suitors.
