EAST LANSING – Trishton Jackson earned the buzz from his spring game performance. Rightfully so.
But depth in Michigan State’s pass catching corps is a significant area of need heading into preseason camp and the 2017 season.
Mark Dantonio could have a number of untested wide receivers in the Spartans’ usual six-player rotation, along with a first-year, full-time starting quarterback throwing to them. But the 11th-year coach does not think that much youth in the passing game will deter the offense from moving the ball through the air.
“The important thing I think is everybody is on the same page,” Dantonio said after Saturday’s spring scrimmage.
