Denzel Valentine, Matt Costello combine for 52 points as Michigan State handles Indiana

EAST LANSING -- Denzel Valentine didn't hit a game-winner this year on the holiday that bears his name.

His performance before the final minute ensured he didn't have to, and he got plenty of help from a fellow senior down the stretch.

Valentine and Matt Costello combined for 52 points as Michigan State came back from an early double-digit deficit to beat Indiana, 88-69, Sunday afternoon at the Breslin Center.

Valentine finished with 30 points, two shy of his career high, and added a career-high 13 assists. Costello added a career-high 22 points and 11 rebounds, in the fourth-to-last Breslin Center game for both players.
