Former Detroit Lions and Michigan State football coach Darryl Rogers died of "natural causes" on Wednesday, his family said in a statement Thursday.
He was 84.
"We are heartbroken to confirm the news that Darryl Rogers has passed away from natural causes on July 11 at the age of 84," said the emailed statement from Samantha Dawson, Rogers' oldest granddaughter.
