Dantonio takes MSU football from erratic to excellent

EAST LANSING – The foundation for what's happening now at Michigan State goes back 20 years, and not just because incoming coach Nick Saban opted for a Kansas assistant named Mark Dantonio to coach his defensive backs in 1995.

MSU's athletic administration also welcomed a new Mark that year: 1985 MSU grad Mark Hollis, hired away from Pittsburgh to be the associate athletic director for external relations.
