EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State ninth-year head coach Mark Dantonio was named a finalist for two national coach of the year awards on Monday.
The Maxwell Football Club announced that Dantonio is one of three finalists for the George Munger Award, while the Football Writers Association of America named Dantonio one of eight finalists for the Eddie Robinson Award.
Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney are the other two finalists for the George Munger Award, which will be announced on Dec. 21.
