East Lansing — Michigan State suffered its share of injuries in Saturday’s victory over Central Michigan, but it appears there’s some sense of optimism.
The depth chart released for this week’s Big Ten opener against Purdue was the first sign and coach Mark Dantonio offered some of his own at his weekly news conference on Tuesday.
“There’s been no season-ending injuries,” he said, “other than the two we’ve talked about.”
Those, or course, were the injuries suffered by linebacker Ed Davis (knee) in preseason camp and cornerback Vayante Copeland (neck) who was hurt in week two.
