EAST LANSING – A couple feet in front of me as I write, on a wall in the media room at Breslin Center, is a large photo of Michigan State’s basketball team tipping off against Purdue in 2012. The Spartans’ starting front line: Adreian Payne, Draymond Green, Branden Dawson.
The answer to the Spartans’ problems is in the contrast between that photo and the frontcourt that took the floor at various points Sunday night against Northeastern: Kenny Goins, Kyle Ahrens, Nick Ward and Matt Van Dyk.
MSU is a 7-5 basketball team coming off an 81-73 home loss to Northeastern because of its roster.
