EAST LANSING – The most talented players on Michigan State’s basketball team don’t have any real sense of how talented they are. Not comparatively at least.
Not like the veterans do. Not like center Gavin Schilling does.
Schilling, a fifth-year senior by way of a knee injury, has been a part of three of Tom Izzo’s best teams at MSU — as a freshman in 2013-14, a junior in 2015-16 and now. In between, he played on a Final Four team as a sophomore and watched last year’s undersized, heralded and fledgling group battle without him.
