Cody Tucker did an admirable job with his 99-part “Who wore it best” for Michigan State football summer series, which finished, mercifully, last weekend.
That’s not an easy project, especially for a writer who, until two years ago, knew slightly more than bupkis about Spartan football.
In picking which MSU player was the best to ever wear each number, my former Lansing State Journal colleague unearthed names I’d forgotten about and, in some cases, hadn’t even heard of. And, for the most part, he got it right.
