EAST LANSING — Tom Anastos sounds like a man short on answers who knows he might be short on time to find them.
There is a difference to his frustration this season, his sixth as Michigan State’s hockey coach.
He expected the struggle in previous years — even as fans began to doubt him. It was all part of a blueprint he knew would take time.
This season, even Anastos seems to be running out of patience.
The Spartans (4-15-1, 0-6 Big Ten) haven’t won a game since November, losing nine straight dating back to a promising series at North Dakota on Thanksgiving weekend.
