Josh Jackson’s decision to go somewhere other than Michigan State might have been devastating not so long ago. Now it’s a pin prick — disappointing to MSU because Jackson is a ridiculous talent and Spartans were again bridesmaids in the hunt for the nation’s top basketball prospect and Jackson is a home-state kid, even if he’s enrolled in a California prep school.
Jackson’s MSU snub is different than that of Jabari Parker, Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones or Cliff Alexander. It feels less like a rejection. Less damning to the program.
