It took more than 100 women and girls marching into a Lansing courtroom and courageously and vulnerably facing the man who had sexually abused them for the NCAA to do something.
I’m not sure if the NCAA is the right body to be investigating Michigan State University for its handling of the Larry Nassar case (or to be investigating anything, frankly), but, if it is, what the hell took so long? This isn’t a new story. The facts, as they pertain to MSU, haven’t changed much in the last year.
The NCAA, which informed MSU of its investigation Tuesday, apparently listens to victims of sexual assault about as well as the institutions that failed to protect them from Nassar.
