Cole takes over a desperate and frustrated program, but a program in better shape than six years ago
EAST LANSING – Who knows where Michigan State’s hockey program would be if Danton Cole had been hired as its coach six years ago. He wanted the job then. He’s always wanted the job. And always might be understating it.
Cole was a more logical choice than Tom Anastos in 2011. He was the fan’s choice — one of them, at least — and the hockey world’s suggested choice.
