Tyson Walker coming back for another year at Michigan State is, on its face, a massive win for the Spartans’ chances at competing for titles next season. Walker is a terrific college basketball player — about as complete as it gets for someone his size. He can play either guard position at an all-conference level, defends with purpose, and is a shot-creator and tough-shot maker like few others in the college game.
If you want to win a Big Ten and national championship, you want a 23-year-old Walker in your backcourt.
It will, however, be a different backcourt than this past season.
