Connor Cook is glad to be back to Michigan.
Since the Detroit Lions signed the former Michigan State quarterback to a futures deal in January, Cook has had a chance to reconnect with some old Spartans pals. Of course, he’s gotten the usual welcome-back greetings from MSU fans.
“We had our Taste of the Lions (recently) and there was a ton of Michigan State people there,” Cook said Thursday, “so they made me feel right at home.”
But more than that, more than the warm wishes and familiarity with the state, Cook feels at home in other ways playing for coach Matt Patricia.
