Tom Izzo would rather be working right now in Houston, but he will chip in Monday with some national championship pregame analysis on TBS.
And it’s possible he could be introduced as Hall of Famer Tom Izzo. The Michigan State coach, who just completed his 21st season, is one of 14 finalists for the 2016 class of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame is the highest honor in the sport, established in 1959 to honor professionals and amateurs, with 345 individuals and 10 teams enshrined so far. Any of the 14 finalists who receive 18 or more votes from a 24-member committee will be announced Monday in Houston as part of the class and will enter Sept.
