East Lansing — Michigan State talked early this week about playing a complete game, getting a full 40 minutes of solid basketball.
Well, the 10th-ranked Spartans did not get that, but they did get another solid second half on their way to a 79-67 victory over Nebraska Wednesday night at the Breslin Center. It was Michigan State’s eighth straight victory as it prepares to head to Ann Arbor on Saturday to take on Michigan.
It was far from pretty — a theme that has been replayed often so far this season — as Michigan State (13-2, 4-0 Big Ten) turned the ball over 19 times and gave up 34 points in the paint against the Cornhuskers, who were coming off a near-upset of Ohio State on Sunday.
