Michigan State football’s 2019 recruiting class stands at 19.
The players have already bounded, and as a group they talk all the time, according to Clinton Twp. Chippewa Valley linebacker Marcel Lewis.
“I keep in touch with everyone," said Lewis, one of two returning players from the 2017 Free Press Dream Team a year ago. “We have a group chat. We talk about anything that’s going on. Then we talk about our seasons.’’
Lewis' Big Reds are one of eight teams left in Division 1 state playoffs. On Friday night, they host Dearborn Fordson, which knocked off Detroit Cass Tech, which has been Chippewa Valley’s playoff kryptonite.
