MSU senior All-American Cassius Winston spoke publicly for the first time Monday about the death of his brother, Zachary. Filmed Nov. 18, 2019.
EAST LANSING — Cassius Winston took the microphone and headed to midcourt.
A previously raucous crowd got quiet. TV cameras lined up in front of him. Tom Izzo pointed at his All-American point guard as he walked.
“Good luck,” the Michigan State basketball coach told Winston, who was about to speak publicly Monday night for the first time since the death of his brother, Zachary.
Before he could even say a word, the fans and students remaining in Breslin Center rose to their feet.
