CHICAGO – The way Shilique Calhoun tells it, he finally decided he was returning for his senior season in the middle of the Cotton Bowl, with MSU’s comeback from a 20-point deficit to win, 42-41, not yet complete.
“We were still down and our defense was sitting on the sideline and I just happened to turn to my (defensive) tackle Joel Heath, and I tapped him and … I’m like, ‘I’m coming back,’ ” Calhoun said. “And he’s like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘I’m coming back.’ He’s like, ‘What are you talking about, man?’ I’m like, ‘Nothing, nothing, never mind.
