EAST LANSING - Improved leadership has been a focus for Michigan State following last season's 3-9 record.
The Spartans now have their top two voices in the locker room.
Seniors Chris Frey and Brian Allen were named Michigan State's 2017 team captains on Thursday morning, following the team's last practice of fall camp.

Michigan State's captains were selected by a vote of the players but only those on the team's "Eagles" leadership council are eligible to become captain.
