EAST LANSING — Michigan State football's second-half offensive momentum vanished almost as quickly as time ran out on the third quarter Saturday.
MSU's offense, which had scored touchdowns on its previous two possessions, ran one play late in the third quarter after Northwestern retook the lead.
But once the fourth quarter hit, the offense stalled again, a disappearing act that proved the Spartans’ undoing in a 29-19 loss.
