Bob Quinn’s interest in new Detroit Lions quarterback Connor Cook was piqued over the summer when the Lions traveled west for a set of joint practices and a preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
Cook was running the Raiders’ second-string offense at the time, competing for a roster spot with EJ Manuel, and Quinn found himself impressed by a player he hadn’t thought much about since the 2016 NFL draft.
