A deposition from former Michigan State University Athletic Director Mark Hollis about why, how and when Auston Robertson was recruited to become a member of the school's football team should be seen by the public, lawyers for a former coach argued Monday in a legal filing.
There's no legal reason to seal the deposition from public view, they wrote in appealing a federal magistrate's ruling.
"There is simply no 'compelling' reason for the Court to seal any portion of Defendant Hollis’ deposition," the filing said.
