EAST LANSING – Jack Allen arrived at Michigan State as a three-star offensive lineman looking for a chance.
He leaves with an opportunity to become an NFL draft pick this week. More importantly for the Spartans, he brought with him a lineage that could join the Bulloughs, Ducketts and Thornhills among the most storied in program history.
Allen’s brother, Brian, is expected to replace him at center as a true junior this fall. Their youngest sibling, Matt, will begin his college career this fall as part of MSU’s highest-rated recruiting class in Mark Dantonio’s 10 seasons in East Lansing.
