EAST LANSING - Brian Lewerke's first Big Ten game of the season yielded mixed results.
The Michigan State quarterback made plays with his arm and legs, throwing for a pair of touchdowns in a 35-21 win at Indiana last week. However, there were also a trio of turnovers with two interceptions and a fumble.
"I think when you're in a position of leadership and the quarterback certainly is and you've got a good level of talent and you've had great success or at least success and you've built a solid foundation, you try to take as much on to you as you can," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said.
