Madison, Wis. – There were just less than four minutes to play on Tuesday night and Michigan State trailed No. 18 Wisconsin by four points.
The final media timeout hit and as the Spartans gathered around coach Tom Izzo, one thing was made clear – Michigan State had no intention of losing. In fact, they told one another they were winning the game.
When the huddle broke, Malik Hall hit a pair of free throws that sparked a 13-6 run to close the game as Michigan State pulled out the 69-65 victory at the Kohl Center, the seventh straight for Michigan State and the fourth in the last five trips to Wisconsin.
