At least 80 women and girls who were sexually abused by Larry Nassar spoke at a press conference in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, demanding answers from institutions that shielded him ahead of a Senate hearing on the matter.
One by one, survivors of Nassar's abuse present at the press conference shared their names, ages and when Nassar abused them. Their ages ranged from women in their late 30s to children as young as 11.
All of them said the U.S. Olympic Committee, USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University "failed me."
Olympian Aly Raisman added the institutions "have failed all of us, and continue to do so.
