5 things to watch in Michigan State's spring game

EAST LANSING - The lights will be on early this year at Spartan Stadium.

Michigan State's annual spring game will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday as the Spartans give fans a preview of the 2018 team ahead of the season opener on Aug. 31 against Utah State.

Since beginning spring practice on Feb. 27, Michigan State has used 13 of its 15 allotted practices and the spring game will count as the 14th.

"There's going to be some good, some bad - there always is," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said this week.
