A lot has been made about the potential of Tom Izzo’s 2016 recruiting class and the hype is definitely warranted. One top target on Michigan State‘s radar is five-star shooting guard Josh Jackson.

Not only is Jackson one of just a handful of five-star recruits in the class who also happens to be from Detroit, but he’s also rated as the No. 1 player in the country for his class, according to 247Sports.
Rarely does Izzo go after recruits of Jackson’s caliber, seeing as he’s surely a one-and-done player, but the head coach vowed to change his recruiting style after the Final Four and he’s already been reaping benefits.
