5 reasons why Michigan State basketball will win it all with Miles Bridges back

When Miles Bridges took the stage at the Spartan Statue last week, everyone in East Lansing was holding their breath and crossing their fingers. The Michigan State basketball star announced he’d be returning for his sophomore season — something that didn’t even seem possible months earlier.

As he committed to Michigan State in the fall of 2015, it was almost a given that he’d be a one-and-done player. Tom Izzo hadn’t especially recruited that type of talent well, but Deyonta Davis was just that a season before and Bridges was on track to be the second straight.

Fortunately for Izzo and the Spartans, he did the unthinkable by announcing his return, instilling fear in just about every opponent in college basketball next season.
