Following the Michigan State Spartans big win over in-state rival Michigan yesterday, the Spartans picked up a verbal commit from a Georgia athlete. Shakari Denson hails from Claxton, Geogia and is unranked at this point. The 5-foot-11 player is listed as an “athlete” on 247Sports, but was targeted by Harlon Barnett after the defensive backs coach saw film on him. MSU extended him an offer last week on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Now that the Spartans have made an offer and he’s given a verbal, MSU fans might see ranking services start to give Denson more attention.
