When the Spartans were announced as participants in the 2017 NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, it marked the 20th consecutive tournament Michigan State has been a part of, dating back to 1998.

The tournament streak has become one of Tom Izzo’s signature accomplishments, as the biggest marker of consistency for his program.
