Michigan State football was beaten decidedly Saturday by rival Michigan, falling 44-10 at the Big House, but it did give a glimpse at the future.
Twelve true freshmen played, the most of any game this season, with varying levels of participation and success.
At one point, the Spartans had three true freshman offensive linemen in the game at the same time — left tackle Devontae Dobbs, left guard JD Duplain and center Nick Samac.
