The Wall Street Journal has published its 3rd annual look at college football programs performance on and off the field and have identified Michigan State as one of the best programs in college football.
The WSJ took in to account a number of preseason polls to calculate the "powerhouse' rnaking, including Phil Steele's poll, Lindy's and Athlon.
For admirable/embarrassing, they looked at academics, probation and NCAA violations, arrests and a subjective "ickiness" factor that has left a negative stain on the program. Not surprisingly, Penn State ranked as the most embarrassing program in college football.
