After a 20-year tenure, Miami has relieved head coach Enrico Blasi of his duties today, according to multiple CHN sources.
After making the NCAA Tournament 10 times in a 12-year span — including two Frozen Fours — the RedHawks have been under .500 the last four seasons, including an 11-23-4 mark this year, which is the worst in Blasi's tenure.
Blasi signed a contract extention last summer, taking him through the 2023 season. His contract, however, contains a buyout clause — Miami could fire him with no cause and pay him the equivalent of one year's salary, plus other factors, worth approximately $400,000.
