CHN Staff Report
Jake Slaker continued his second-half surge with his 11th and 12th goals of the season, while Strauss Mann made 26 saves to help lead Michigan to a 5-1 win over Michigan State at Munn Arena. Michigan is now 7-2-1 in its last 10 games, and moved within three points of first place in the Big Ten.
Slaker started the scoring on a power play. He was followed by one from second-round NHL Draft pick Luke Martin, a senior defenseman. Martin had one goal in each of his first two seasons, none last year, and this was his first this season.
