CHN Staff Report
Matt Barry, who as a freshman was Holy Cross' leading scorer in the first half of the season, announced today he's transferring to Miami.
Barry will have to sit two semesters, and be eligible to play starting in the second half of the 2019-20 season.
The move is sure to raise eyebrows around college hockey, as the recruiting wars continue to heat up. Miami has shown numerous signs recently of being more aggressive in its pursuit of players, by various means, since its entire assistant coaching staff was changed, as it looks to catch up with other top-tier programs that have done the same.
