Now entering its seventh year of existence, the NCHC has produced four consecutive national champions: North Dakota (2016), Denver (2017), and Minnesota-Duluth (2018, 2019). The run will of course end eventually, but for now, the NCHC has cemented itself as the premier conference in men's college hockey.
Minnesota-Duluth returns as the reigning conference champion and national champion, but there are several teams that will challenge the Bulldogs for both.
In order of predicted finish based on the league's preseason media poll:
Minnesota-Duluth

2018-19 Record: 29-11-2 (14-9-1 NCHC)
