Trevor Richards was determined not to let his first couple of major league starts define him, coming out strong against what had been a hot Pirates lineup.
Trevor Richards is dominating. Ground balls, pop-ups and very little else. Living at the bottom of the strike zone.
Shutout thru 6 innings (and only 71 pitches). pic.twitter.com/DrhW9SH6Nk— Fish Stripes (@fishstripes) April 15, 2018Richards would ultimately go seven full innings, giving up a scant two hits with one walk and two strikeouts to his name. An excellent performance that should keep his name in the hat as far as future starts are concerned.
